  • Notes on Building a Web Site:
    1. Determine your target audience

    2. Define the goals for your website

    3. Select a uniform resource locator (URL) or your web address -we'll make sure that its available and register it for you. The current fee for a one year lease is about USD10.00.

    4. Select a hosting service to give the world access to your site - 2 types of hosting --

Virtually Hosted Sites: are served through a domain address that you register, for instance "http://www.yourbusiness.com." The monthly hosting fees vary by hosting company, we will be happy to deal with a host of your choice, or we can recommend someone. Annual charges start at about USD150.
Non-virtually Hosted Sites: are sites that are served through the hosts domain. Your address might read " http://www.atrlocale.com/yourbusiness," if we managed a server, which we don't. Non-virtually hosted sites are usually less expensive than virtually hosted sites, and there are no Internic fees, however you frequently must share your site with other advertising, and navigation is sometimes difficult.
